Is there an AI coding tool that runs locally and doesn't send my code to the cloud?
Yes — that's AZMX. Your code and files stay on your computer. When you use AZMX Cloud (AZMX Auto), the messages you send to the AI pass through AZMX's gateway to our cloud AI provider to get an answer; we don't sell them or train on them. With your own key, requests go to that provider. With Local-Only mode on (for example with Ollama or LM Studio), nothing leaves your computer.
Can I use my own OpenAI or Anthropic key?
Yes. AZMX supports your own key for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, Cerebras, xAI, DeepSeek, Azure, NVIDIA, Ollama and LM Studio. You pay your provider directly — there's no markup. You don't need a key to code: AZMX Auto is free.
Does it require an account?
No. The free tier needs no account, and coding with AZMX Auto needs no key. It uninstalls cleanly. Optional cross-device sync is end-to-end encrypted (PBKDF2 + AES-256-GCM), so the server only ever holds ciphertext.
Is it really free?
Yes. The free tier is the whole product — the same agent and tools — and coding with AZMX Auto is free (10M tokens a day fair use, plus a one-time 108M-token grant). Paid tiers ($20/mo Pro, $40/seat/mo Teams) add control and governance; they never remove features.
